You're sending emails out from your Outlook via your TierraNet hosted mailbox, however, the recipients are not receiving your emails. First, double check that your domain name is pointing to TierraNet mail exchange (MX) records. You can check this by running an MX look up on websites like whatsmydns.net or Google DNS toolbox. Your domain should be pointing to mx1/2.daemonmail.net if using our email hosting services.
If your domain is pointing to our MX records, double check that your Outlook account has the "SMTP requires authentication" option enabled. You can verify that the setting is enabled by doing the following:
- From the Tools menu, choose Account Settings.
- Choose your email account from the list, then click Change.
- Next, click More Settings
-
Go to the Outgoing Server tab, then select the option "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and ensure that it is enabled.
If the steps above do not apply to your version of Outlook, you can also try doing the following:
- Open Outlook and click on the "File" tab.
- Click on "Account Settings" and then "Account Settings" again.
- Select your email account and click on "Change".
- Click on "More Settings" and then the "Outgoing Server" tab.
- Check the box that says "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
Once you've enabled the SMTP requires authentication option, send out a few test emails to ensure that it is working correctly. If you continue to have issues, please contact customer support.
