You probably have email forwarding set up through your Tierranet account. However, you're finding that the messages are not being received by the destination address. There could be a few reasons why your messages aren't being forwarded, here's a list of items you might want to check before contacting our support department:
- Make sure your domain is pointing to our MX records.
If you are using our email forwarding services then your domain must use our MX (mail exchange) records to point to our sending (SMTP) servers. Without MX records your messages will fail to be forwarded. You can check if your MX records are active by searching your domain's DNS records here: https://toolbox.googleapps.com/apps/dig/#MX/
If you find that you are missing our MX records, please follow the instructions below to add them with your DNS management provider:
What are TierraNet's MX records? - Do not send test emails from the same address you are forwarding to.
Email forwarding will fail if you are sending messages from the same address you are forwarding to. Most email hosting services will most likely block the email from being received, as it looks like a recursive loop in their systems. If you're wanting to test your email forwarding works, try sending it out from a different address not related to the forwarding and receiving address.
If you checked these items off and are still having issues receiving your forwarded messages, please Contact Customer Support
