All of our customers can download their DNS records via a zone file. A DNS zone file is a text file that defines how a domain name maps to IP addresses and other resources by listing DNS records such as A, MX, and CNAME. It serves as the authoritative source of DNS information for a specific domain or portion of a domain, managed by a DNS server. Downloading zone files can help save you time when migrating from one DNS management provider to another.
You can download your DNS zone file by doing the following:
- Log in to your TierraNet account and click on DNS
- Using the drop-down menu under Select domain to manage, choose the domain name you're looking to obtain DNS records for, and click Go
- In the lower right corner, click on the Download Zone File button.
