Subdomains are a great way to create and organize separate sections of your website for different functions. Subdomains are most commonly used to redirect customers to their blogs and allows to direct traffic to specific sections of your website. You can create a subdomain by following the instructions below:
Log into your account and hover your mouse over the DNS icon at the top right of your page and select DNS Home from the drop-down.
You will be redirected to the Manage DNS page where you can scroll to the bottom to select the domain to manage, and click Go.
- You'll be redirected to your domain's DNS page, showing you all the current DNS your domain has. To add a new DNS record, use the drop-down menu at the bottom of your page that says Add Records For to select the type of DNS record you wish to create and click Add.
- Proceed to fill in the blanks with the information you want to add point your domain to. Since you're looking to create a subdomain, you can use the Host field to specify the name of the subdomain you are wanting to create.
You can create the subdomain by setting the destination (example) or the full address you are wanting to create (example.accountexample.com).
Once you've confirmed all the information is correct click Add.
