In this article:
Connecting your domain with an IP address requires the use of a DNS record called an "A" record. To add an A record to your domain, once logged into your account:
- Log in to your account and click on DNS
- Using the drop-down menu under the Select domain to manage section, select the domain name you're looking to update and click the Go button
Note: If you don’t see your domain listed, you may need to double-check that your domain is pointing to TierraNet nameservers. To find out more, please check out our Nameserver article in the Help Center.
- You'll be redirected to your domain's DNS page, showing you all the current DNS your domain. Making sure the A (previously known as web alias) record is selected in the drop-down menu under Add Records for: in the lower left click the Add button.

Unless instructed otherwise by your hosting provider, leave the Host section blank. Enter the IP address in the IP address section, select the box under Auto, and click the Submit button in the lower right when you're done adding all the information given to you by your hosting provider.
This configuration will automatically create several records for you that are commonly required. To view all of the DNS records that were automatically added, click on the "+" to expand the details
- Please note that the records can take 24-48 hours to finish propagating. If you find that the record is still not propagating please contact customer support.
