How do I install Wordpress for my website?

We offer an Easy Install feature that makes installing open source products like Wordpress a simple process.

To use the Easy Install option for Wordpress:

• Log into your account and click the Hosting tab to go to your Hosting Services page.

• Click on the Launch Easy Install button, located near the bottom right hand portion of the page.

• Select the Install Wordpress option to start the process.

• You will be prompted to choose the location for your Wordpress installation. Wordpress will be installed in a subdirectory called "wordpress" with either option (we don't want to install it into your main "htdocs/" directory in case you have other files in there that you don't want clobbered).

  If you choose the Default location option, your Wordpress site will be accessible by going to "yourdomain.com/wordpress".

  If you would like your Wordpress site to be accessible by just going directly to your domain (no subdirectory), choose the Top Level Location option.

• Your Wordpress site will be installed, creating a database automatically. You should then see a button labeled Click to complete setup which will take you to your Wordpress installation page.

• On your Wordpress installation page, enter the title of your site and your admin username and password.

• Wordpress should now be installed and fully functional on your site!
