Subdomains are an effective way to organize and manage different sections of your website for specific purposes. They are commonly used to direct visitors to areas such as blogs or dedicated service pages, allowing you to route traffic more efficiently.
-
Log in to your account and hover your mouse over the DNS icon at the top right of your page, and select DNS Home from the drop-down.
You will be redirected to the Manage DNS page, where you can scroll to the bottom to select the domain to manage and click Go.
- On the domain’s DNS page, you will see all existing DNS records. To add a new record, use the “Add Records For” drop-down menu at the bottom of the page, select the desired DNS record type, and click Add.
Complete the required fields with the information needed to point your subdomain. In the Host field, enter the name of the subdomain you want to create.
You may define the destination using either a short hostname (for example, example) or a fully qualified domain name (for example, example.accountexample.com), depending on your configuration needs.
Once you've confirmed all the information is correct, click Add.
- It's important to remember that DNS updates can take 24-48 hours to propagate. If you find that your records have not propagated within the time frame, please contact customer support.
