To set up your email account on Thunderbird, we recommend these steps:
1. Click File. Select New, and then select Existing Mail Account.
2. Enter the following:
Your Name: Enter your name, or the name you wish to display(e.g.: TierraNET)
Email Address: Enter your Email address (e.g.: example@youraccountdomain.com)
Password: Your case-sensitive password
Then click Continue.
3. Ensure Your Name, Email Address, and Password are correctly entered.
Then click the button next to IMAP (Remote Folders).
After selecting IMAP, click Manual Config.
4. Enter the following:
Your Name: Enter your name, or the name you wish to display (e.g.: TierraNET)
Email Address: Enter your Email address (e.g.: example@youraccountdomain.com)
Password: Your case-sensitive password
Next to Incoming:
Select IMAP
Server Hostname: mail.tierra.net
Port: 143
SSL: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Normal Password
Next to Outgoing:
Server Hostname: mail.tierra.net
Port: 587
SSL: SSL/TLS
Authentication: Autodetect
Username: Enter your complete Email address, in lowercase (e.g.: example@youraccountdomain.com)
Then click Done.
5. Your sign-in should successfully occur after a few minutes.
