Gmail set-up (Desktop)

In this article:

To set-up your email on Google, you'll first need an existing gmail account to create another mailbox. 

 

- Log in to your Gmail account to create a new email address.

 

- After logging in, go to your Gmail and click on the "Settings" icon in the top right corner, then select "See all settings"

 

 

 

- After clicking the settings tab, click on "Accounts and Import" and then "Add a mail account"

 

 

 

-Scroll down and click on "Add a mail account"

 

- You'll be brought to a page that looks like this: Enter your webmail address 

 

Click Next and then Click Next again 

 

You'll then be brought to this tab to fill in your configuration.

 

 

Username: Your wembail email address

Password: Your webmail password

POP Server: mail.(your domin name)

Port: 110

 

Make sure the boxes are checked as shown in the screenshot above, that way you always have a copy of your emails.

 

-This will take you to the next tab that looks something like this, Fill in your name (Uncheck the box "Treat as an alias") then click "Next Step".

 

 

 

Once that's completed, you'll be directed to a tab where you can enter your outgoing configuration.

 

 

SPTP Server: mail.tierra.net

Username: your webmail email

Password: Webmail password

Port: 587

Click on "Secured connection using TLS (recommended) and click "Add Account"and it'll prompt you to this page

 

 

After successfully adding your mailbox, you'll need to verify it through the email account you used to register the new mailbox. Once approved, you should be able to see it in your account.
